The main hall is built for the big nights. Up to 650 standing (or around 250 seated), with a full sound system and a professional lighting rig that does the heavy lifting. This is where the tribute nights, headline acts and club nights come alive.
Upstairs is a different feeling entirely. Our cafe bar seats up to 60 and it’s the home of our Live Lounge sessions, smaller acoustic gigs and a more relaxed pace, ideal for midweek drinks or a lazy weekend afternoon.
Smile Bar & Venue grew out of Smile Radio, one of the leading online stations championing unsigned and independent music. That connection runs through everything we do. The venue exists to give artists a stage, whether they’re a nationally touring tribute band or a local songwriter stepping up to the mic for the very first time at our open mic night.
