Our main hall is a 650-capacity live entertainment venue, the same stage, sound system and lighting rig that hosts tribute nights, comedy shows and touring bands every single week. When you book your wedding reception here, your band or DJ performs on the same setup as the acts we put on every weekend. No marquee PA hire, no borrowed speakers, no compromises on sound.

Two Spaces for Different Celebrations

The Main Hall seats up to 250 for a sit-down reception or holds 650 standing for an evening party. The stage runs the full width of the room with professional sound and lighting built in. It’s ideal when live music or a big DJ set is the centrepiece of the night.

The Cafe Bar upstairs is more intimate, seating up to 60 or holding 80 standing. It works brilliantly for smaller wedding receptions, afternoon celebrations, or as an extra space for drinks and mingling alongside a main hall booking.

Built-In Entertainment

Here’s the big difference between us and a typical function room: our stage, PA and lighting are permanent. They’re not hired in for the day. Your band or DJ arrives, plugs in and performs. No setup fees, no sound engineer surcharges, no worrying about whether the speakers can fill the room.

We host live music acts every week. The equipment works. The sound is right for the space. Your entertainment will sound and look professional from the moment your guests walk in.

Your Day, Your Way

You’ve got flexibility over how the evening runs. Bring your own caterer if you like. Decorate the space however you want. Run the reception around what matters to you, not around some hotel’s fixed package.

Our bar team is there throughout the evening (cashless, card payments only). Beyond that, it’s your night to shape.

We’re at 38 Wakefield Road in Huddersfield, a short walk from the town centre and train station. For parking, A1 Parking behind the Premier Inn is closest (24-hour, paid), and the university car park on Wakefield Road is available from 5:30pm on weekdays and all day at weekends.

The main hall is fully accessible at ground floor level.
