Known for his warm, engaging songwriting and songs inspired by Yorkshire life and the world around him, Roger has been entertaining audiences with his distinctive blend of folk, rock and pop for more than 20 years.

This special birthday show will feature songs from across Roger’s back catalogue alongside brand-new material from his forthcoming album — performed live with his five-piece band.

Roger has released five solo albums and toured extensively around the UK, including joining legendary folk-rock band Fairport Convention as special guest on their 30-date UK tour.

Since forming his own five-piece band, Roger has enjoyed a succession of sold-out concerts and performances including the Great British Folk Festival and the 2024 Culturedale Opening Event at The Piece Hall, Halifax.

This isn’t just another gig — it’s a chance to join Roger, the band, friends and fans for a special birthday night of original Yorkshire music at Smile.
